May 17, 2018 Good morning ... Yep, it's the first of two MEMORIAL DAY cartoons for today — this being the only time of the year when your 'toonist gets totally serious [yep, it's possible!]. That said, I really like the fact that the kid in the toon has such a simple, albeit profound, question for his Dad. There's an innocence involved that transcends the horrific nature of war. I'll bet the combat vets thereabouts will recognize it.
